I have been using Account Ability with Figtree StockTrack software to prepare forms 1099-DIV and 1099-B. As Figtree was acquired by TS Partners, can I still use Account Ability to prepare forms 1099-B and 1099-DIV? |

Why are my amounts truncating the cents on my forms and control reports? |
This can be caused by a setting in your Windows regional currency settings. Go to the Windows control panel applet and click on the Region option (Region and Language option on Windows 7). Then click on additional settings button, select the currency tab and check the "No. of digits after decimal entry" field and make sure it is set to 2 and not 0. |

Why does Account Ability complain that the IDMS Tax Fonts are not installed? |
If you installed Account Ability, or a concurrent user license, normally then the IDMS Tax Fonts should install and be seen by the application. If they do not appear, make sure your fonts folder is not encrypted.
To check this, right-click the fonts folder (C:\Windows\Fonts) and select properties. On the 'General' tab click the 'Advanced' button. Make sure the folder is not encrypted (see Encrypt contents to secure data). |

Which port does help desk support's TeamViewer use? |
By default TeamViewer uses only the outgoing port 80 (HTTP) - no firewall configuration is necessary. Alternatively you can open port 5938 (TCP) for outgoing connections. If connection problems persist, you can also try opening port 5890. |

Is there a way to print mailing labels with Account Ability? |
Although Account Ability does not print mailing labels directly, one can use the 'Export' feature of Account Ability to generate a text file that can be merged with Microsoft Word, Excel, or any other mailing label program capable of mail merge. Using a mail merge rather than a specific label format, one can format mailing labels to any label he/she desires.
To export recipient information, select 'Export' from the 'File' menu of the desired tax form. This will display the 'Export Options' dialog. Select the fields to be exported and click the 'Begin' button. A comma separated text file will be created for you in the folder you specify. |
