I received the message "The signature is corrupt or invalid" when downloading Account Ability. What should I do? |
The following is suggested on the Microsoft Community web page:
Open Internet Explorer browser from the Desktop.
From the menu bar select 'Tools'.
Select 'Internet Options'.
Select the 'Advanced' tab.
Uncheck 'Allow software to run or install even if the signature is invalid'
Try installing again.
Alternate Solution:
If you View Downloads, right-click the file setup.exe and select Run anyway.
If the problem persists, contact Account Ability support at 800-582-5831. |

Why does the Installshield wizard hang during installation? |
This is generally caused by mirroring software or antivirus software running in the background. Disable each and try the installation again. If the problem persists, try the installation in 'Safe' mode. |

Why do I get the error "Error 1907. Could not register font." during installation? |
This is a Microsoft error, which is apparently related to a security issue in Windows 7. Although this error does not occur on every Windows 7 installation, it seems to appear mostly on those computers running Microsoft Office 2007 or later.
To work around this error during installation, select "Ignore" every time the error appears. Account Ability will eventually install without a problem.
Once installed, have Account Ability check for updates by selecting
Check for Updates at Startup...
from the 'Preferences' menu.
If an update exists, follow the installation instructions displayed by Account Ability.
Tip: You can also check for updates by selecting
About Account Ability (check for updates)
from the 'Help' menu. |

It is not necessary. The installation script automatically updates your software and preserves the database. |
